Parallel Play is a Detroit-based exhibition bridging art and design through a lens of curiosity, intention, and coexistence. Taking its name from a childhood stage of side-by-side play, the show explores the quiet parallels between fine art and functional design.

More than a showcase, Parallel Play encourages a shift from consumption to collectorship - inviting viewers to consider how we live with objects that reflect personal values and care.

Each edition features locally made artwork, design, florals, produce, and goods, alongside thoughtful conversation and community connection. Rooted in Detroit, with national reach, Parallel Play invites us to slow down, look closer, and live with intention.

To commemorate our second annual Art & Design exhibition, we created a limited-edition garment that captures the spirit of nostalgic fun and playful creativity. Designed in collaboration by Filipinospaghetti and Joe Reilley, this piece embodies the energy and intention behind the show.
